Elle felt nervous, just a little bit as she waited inside of the club, looking around for Peter. She’d be in enough trouble with Daddy for sneaking out, even more so if he knew she was coming out to meet up with a boy. But Daddy wasn’t going to find out. So it would be fine. She had even dressed up for the occasion. Her hair was slightly curled and hung down her back simply, though it was so warm inside the club, she almost wished she had thought to put it up. Too late now. But she couldn’t really complain, one way or another. After all, it wasn’t like she got to go outside with people her age very often. More often than not, she spent her time with the other people working in the Company, and most of them were way old and boring.

As she waited for her companion to arrive she made her way to the bar to order herself a strawberry daiquiri. Not as good as Slush-O would be, but still pretty tasty. She liked those frozen fruity girly drinks the best. Not that she’s tried much alcohol really, but from the little she has, she’s found a preference for that.

He made a face that looked something akin to a pout...but wasn't quite there, he was amused by it in the end. "But I can't shock you back, so.. no fair."

"Yeah really..." he said, starting to smile again. "You're pretty special, Elle."

"Fine, I'll try to hold back from shocking you again. I can't make any promises."

She smiled genuinely at the compliment. She wasn't used to hearing them. "Thanks."

He laughed again, and then smiled. "You're welcome."

"You're a sweet guy, Peter," she smiled again. She really wasn't used to it. Kindness wasn't something she got alot of in her life.

"You know, I hear that from people, but I'm just telling the truth and what needs to be said," he said with a smile. "It's good to hear it."

"Well, if enough people say it, there must be some truth to it, don't you think?" She asked with a tilt of her head and a smile before taking a sip from her drink. It was a little awkward dancing with it, but she knew better than to leave it unattended.

"Well, yeah, that's true," he said. "Hey.. if you make electricity, how do you do stuff with water like go swimming or take a shower?"

"I take really quick showers," She replied, wrinkling her nose a little at the thought. She didn't like being wet. It left her completely defenseless. Something she was never comfortable with. "And I don't know how to swim, so that's not an issue.

"Yeah.. that would probably be an issue. Have you ever shocked yourself on accent? Like in the rain or something?"

"A few times," She replied with a frown. "It hurts like a bitch when I do."

"Yeah, that would suck," he said. "I'd be kind of sad if I had that though... I love the rain."

"I'm more a summer girl myself. I'll take a nice sunny day over a nasty raining one anyday," She replied. She really couldn't stand rainy days.

"Summer is pretty cool, unless it's all hot and humid. Though that's okay for the beach. If I could, like if somehow you could get away for longer, I'd definitely take you to see some cool places. But no water, I promise. We could stay on the sand at the beach."

"What kind of places do you have in mind?" She asked curiously. It was really...nice to have someone who wanted to spend time with her. Who didn't treat her like a nuisance. "I mean, other than the beach, of course."

He shrugged. "Depends on what you want to see. My parents have a place in the Berkshires, in the mountains. Or there's more than just like landscape... Like, ever been on a rollarcoaster?"

Her eyes lit up at that suggestion, and she shook her head furiously. "I never have, but I've always wanted to! I've never been to a theme park or a carnival or anything like that."

He smiled at her reaction, she looked so excited... sort of like a little kid in a way. "We'll definitely have to work something out."

"I'd really like that," She couldn't wipe the gleeful look off her face if she tried. She couldn't help it. She was excited.

He laughed again. She looked so excited, and it made him feel good too. They would definitely have to do it now, but he'd make sure. Elle deserved all of those good times required of childhood--rollercoasters included. "I'm glad that makes you happy."

"It does!" She replied, still beaming happily. "I've always wanted to go." But her father never let her. Her father didn't let her do alot of things normal kids got to.

"That's a life requirement, to have fun," he said with a pleased grin. Then he paused for a moment. "Think I need another drink, want to go back over there? And you know, we don't have to stay here all night. Whenever I go out with people, we end up hopping around a lot. Seems to be the thing to do."

"I could use another one, too" She mused with a smile before heading back toward the bar. She couldn't help but smile even more at the thought of getting to go someplace else after this. She really didn't get to go out much. "Where else did you have in mind?"
